Petrified Fish Mini PFP01X 14C28N Steel Folding Knife
The Petrified Fish Mini PFP01X caught my attention for its compact footprint and impressive material specs. I spent a week testing this blade on various woodworking tasks and general campsite chores to see if its performance matched the hype.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality is immediately apparent thanks to the textured G10 handle, which offers a secure, non-slip grip regardless of moisture. The 14C28N stainless steel blade maintains a sharp edge under stress, while the integrated ceramic bearing system provides one of the smoothest deployment actions I have tested.
Day-to-Day Experience
Carrying the Mini PFP01X feels effortless due to its compact 173mm frame, making it disappear in a pocket until needed. It requires zero break-in period, as the ceramic bearings allow for reliable one-handed opening straight out of the box.
This knife is ideal for hikers, campers, and EDC enthusiasts who prioritize a durable, high-performance tool that occupies minimal space.
Final Thoughts
The Petrified Fish Mini PFP01X is a standout performer that earns a perfect 5/5 rating for its reliability and precision. At $129, it is a worthwhile investment for anyone needing a dependable cutting companion that holds up to serious outdoor use.
